200 godina stara pola šumovit bivšeg pekara. Tri dvokrevetne sobe i mogućnost četvrtine. Za do 8 odraslih osoba s puno prostora za djecu. Peć na drva i peć na ugljen / drva. Idealan za aktivnosti na otvorenom. Velika, ograđena s velikim travnjakom prema stražnjem dijelu.
Romantični i ugodan vikend ima sve moderne pogodnosti i lijepo očuvane značajke, uključujući: pješčenjaka lukovima, u seoskom stilu pločice, izvornog interijera i eksterijera vrata, drva i ugljen peći, pletera i lijepa zidova vapnenom žbukom, itd Unutar to izgleda kao i dragi kućni zahvaljujući mješavinu antiknim namještajem i drvenim podovima.
U prizemlju se nalazi glazbena soba sa klavirom i peć na drva / ugljen. Ova soba može služiti i kao 4. spavaćoj sobi, kao što je kauč na razvlačenje ovdje, uz susjedni kupaonicu.
Na prvom katu se nalaze 3 spavaće sobe (2 vrlo velik 30 metara kvadratnih dvokrevetna soba i 1 manji bračni). Tu je i glavna obiteljska kupaonica s Victorian kadom, tušem, umivaonikom i WC-om na katu.
Postoji vrlo velika kuhinja sa stolom za blagovanje dovoljno velik s još blagovaonom sjedala 8 za 4 osobe.
Ona nudi sve u kući, vrt, sauna, bazen (samo ljeti) i livade.

Vrlo posebno mjesto za boravak
Dugo ćemo pamtiti naš dugi vikend u ovoj posebnoj kući za odmor. Kuća ima vrlo poseban šarm i osjećali smo se prebačeni u prošlost. Paul Brookes dao je sve od sebe kako bi bio siguran da smo sretni. Osjećali smo se vrlo ugodno u udobnoj kuhinji za dugim stolom za blagovanje, naši su psi mogli lutati bez uzice zahvaljujući potpunoj ogradi imanja. Dobro smo spavali bez ikakvih uznemirujućih zvukova, zahvaljujući dvjema kupaonicama nije bilo gužve u prometu čak ni sa 7 ljudi. Sve vrlo čisto, kuhinja potpuno opremljena. Zahvaljujući Paulovim dobrim savjetima, napravili smo vrlo lijepe izlete u to područje. Za ljude koji vole prirodu, ova kuća je preporučljiva destinacija.

Skriveni dragulj
Smješten u bočnoj dolini pokraj Wlena, Bakers Cottage je renoviran s puno ljubavi i strasti od strane njihovih vlasnika. To je nešto što stvarno možete osjetiti na ovom mjestu. Kako kuća sa svojim drvenim vratima, kamenim ili drvenim podovima i niskim stropovima govori o prošlim vremenima tako i namještaj koji kao da je odabran upravo za mjesto gdje se sada nalazi. Stare pjenušave kristalne čaše, udobne stolice ispred kamina. A u isto vrijeme možete se opustiti uz odličan tuš, perilicu posuđa i perilicu rublja - moderne pogodnosti koje ne želite propustiti!
Nadalje, još nisam spomenuo veliki vrt - ljuljačka na stablu jabuke - prostor za piknik skriven ispod drveća, mala kamena šetnica gdje je dobro objašnjena važnost leptira i pčela. Crveni ribiz, trešnje, jabuke čini se da sve savršeno raste ovdje!

Ontgoocheld
Eerste dag geen electriciteit. 2de dag geen electriciteit en water. 5de dag geen warm water. Beneden slapen was geen optie want er was een onaangename geur. Baby of kinderbedje was niet aanwezig (stond bij de voorzieningen) Ook kinderstoel kwam vuil van de zolder. Zwembad stond er nog niet alhoewel 10 dagen zon. Slecht functionerende frigo. We hadden last van mieren op de bovenverdieping. Sauna is niet meer in gebruik.

Ingrid you were a little unlucky during your stay, I must admit. The electricity company had to make emergency repairs to the power supply to the village. We had no prior notice of this and I apologise for the lack of power to the house for the 2 hours they took to make the repair that afternoon. There were no further problems with the supply following this, contrary to what you state.
A few days later, the water supply did stop for an hour or so as new pipes were laid to replace old and leaking ones. Again we had no prior notice of this and it was unfortunate but that's village life for you.
Hot water incidentally is heated from a Juncker's system in the attic. The gas bottle supplied normally lasts between 12 and 16 days. You managed to finish a full bottle in 5 days so it seems that your group was exceptionally wasteful. (I usually manage to get a gas bottle for the summer that's x3 bigger but had many problems this year getting hold of one.) Knowing when the bottle is about to finish is impossible but I can usually make it to the house within 10-20 minutes should it need (rarely) to be changed which is about the length of time it took me with your group. Hardly a crisis.
Problems arose with your group from day 1. You booked for 6 people and turned up with 10 and a dog then had the cheek to intimate that the price was too much - which for your group amounted to about 12 euro/day - around 50zl/night. Admittedly, Airbnb took a small service charge but that's nothing to do with us as we don't see this. Would anyone rent out their home (yes, we live here for most of the year) for such a ridiculously low amount and can you get anything of quality for this price?
You also had the gall to request the use of the swimming pool in early June. We stipulate that the pool is for summer only (July and August) and it's one of the reasons we charge more for this period - again, wanting far more than what you paid for (we always charge for dogs incidentally, at our discretion - not yours - for a group of your size but I didn't charge you). We will put up the pool end of June for people who previously request it at the time of booking but because I had other prior arrangements, the fact that it takes me 2 full days to get it up and running and your group were such cheapskates, I didn't feel that you deserved it.
Because of your non-existent communication, whereby you didn't reply to my emails, the cot could not be found at such short notice (it was found later) and yes, the chair was stored in the attic as you didn't inform us previously.
Other issues: we have 3 fridges, one of them is in the process of being replaced as it operates at around 8C instead of 4C. Most people don't even notice this; maybe you wouldn't have even known without my telling you. It is more than enough capacity anyway even for an exceptionally large group such as yours (we average around 4, often just 2 people or groups of 6; 8 infrequently and 10, like yours, never).
Sauna is not advertised so it's a non-issue. Ants? Have maybe seen them once or twice in the last 8 years as they make a brief appearance en route somewhere else. We also have spotted flycatchers nesting in the bathroom ventilation grill; tree sparrows, great tits and nuthatches in other parts of the house, ladybirds and butterflies overwintering, with long-eared bats in the attic. It's because we're a farmhouse in the countryside and not some sterile, featureless hotel devoid of character.
Finally, people should know the real reason why you dredged up and exaggerated inconsequences for the negative review you gave. It's because I gave you a negative review on Airbnb due to the damage you did (despite very clear instructions from me) which caused me 2 days of work and expense to rectify. Everything else was an annoyance from you which I'd have probably gritted my teeth and ignored but this was the last straw.

apsolutno super
velikodušno namještena kuća s puno životnog prostora (bilo nas je dvoje) i ogromno imanje. Sve dostupno bez auta, dakle biciklom, što je iscrpljujuće. Zanimljiva mjesta se mogu posjetiti automobilom svaki dan (Krnoplanine, Schneekoppe, Brenzlau-između ostalog, Židovsko groblje, keramika Bunzlau, bezbroj ugaslih vulkana; ali ne morate to raditi svaki dan...potpuno nekomplicirano. Izuzetno ljubazni iznajmljivači, kojima engleski pomaže u komunikaciji.

Zanimljiva alternativa
Bili smo dvije obitelji s ukupno 4 odrasle osobe i 4 djece i imali smo više nego dovoljno mjesta u ovoj kući. Kuća ima vrlo rustikalni šarm i restaurirana je što je moguće vjernija izvorniku uz veliku pažnju posvećenu detaljima i svakako puno truda. Idealan je za odmor nostalgičnim romantičarima i predstavlja zanimljivu alternativu odmoru u bučnim turističkim središtima.Ugodne večeri u ovoj povijesnoj nastambi ispred rasplamsalog kamina zasigurno će ostati nezaboravne. Mjesto u kojem se kuća nalazi sačuvano je na velike udaljenosti izvorno kao da je vrijeme stalo prije stotinu godina. Možete lutati poljima i zemljanim cestama i otkrivati stvari koje odišu poviješću potpuno izvan utabanih staza. Na primjer, dom obitelji Wernhera von Brauna ili staro njemačko groblje skriveno u šumi, koje nam je pokazao uslužni stari seljanin. Ali također se možete popeti na planinu neposredno iza imanja i uz malo truda možete u kratkom vremenu doći do vrha ugašenog vulkana, koji je u ranijim vremenima gotovo sigurno bio pogansko mjesto štovanja. Odatle imate zaista prekrasan pogled na cijele sjeverne planine Giant Mountains do Sněžke. Spavanje noću također je vrlo mirno u ovom području, budući da je zaista vrlo mračno i vrlo tiho nakon što se svjetla ugase. Ujutro će vas probuditi priroda koja se budi. Na oko 5 km udaljenosti nalazi se gradić Wlen, gdje možete kupiti osnovne potrepštine u supermarketu i nekoliko malih trgovina. Preporučamo i kafić u Palači Lenno. S druge strane, ako želite dobro jesti vani ili puno kupovati ili šetati, morate se voziti 20 km do Jelenia Gore ili malo dalje do Karpacza. Ali ima svega što turistu srce poželi.

Predivna kuća za odmor na lijepoj lokaciji
Preporučena kuća za odmor, predivno smještena, originalno namještena. Bili smo tamo u jesen, vrijeme je bilo loše, ali mogli smo vidjeti da bi vrt trebao biti lijep u proljeće i ljeto. Za zainteresirane za krajobraz, geologiju ili povijest, ima puno toga što se može vidjeti na kratkoj udaljenosti. Morate malo vještine imati kako biste napravili vatru, vlasnik pruža izvrsna objašnjenja kako sve funkcionira.

Brakuje słów!
Brakuje słów żeby opisać jakie to były wakacje! Dom jest po prostu nadzwyczajny. Cudownie stary, ale jednocześnie bardzo wygodny. Duża przestrzeń, wygodne sypialnie, czysta pościel i przestronna łazienka dają możliwość wspaniałego rodzinnego wypoczynku. Jak tam się śpi! Osobną sprawą jest okolica. Wygasły wulkan, piękne góry, urokliwe miasteczka, pałace, zamki. Naprawdę chcielibyśmy tam jeszcze wrócić!

Ljeto 2017. u rustikalnoj kući na selu
Osjećali smo se vrlo ugodno u ovoj rustikalnoj atmosferi. Kuća je ukusno uređena i pronašli smo sve što nam je trebalo. Okolica je šarmantna i ima brojne mogućnosti za izlete. Toplo preporučujemo ovu kuću. Domaćini su vrlo ljubazni i spremni pomoći. Ako se sauna i bazen obnove, sve je sjajno.

Stari pekarni
Prekrasno i vrlo posebno mjesto za odmor i opuštanje! Kuća je uređena s puno ljubavi prema detaljima i najmanje je lijepa kao na slikama. Kamini pružaju osobito puno udobnosti. Kuhinja i kupaonica su savršeno opremljene. Postoji mnogo svježih ručnika i sve je vrlo čisto i uredno. Imovina oko kuće je ogromna i sjajno za istraživanje. Domaćini su vrlo prijateljski i susretljivi. Divno mjesto za preporučiti!!!

Cosy farmhouse in a countryside
This is probably the best preserved old farmhouse we (4 adults, 1 child) have ever seen in Poland, set in a beautiful valley in a land of extincted volcanoes. In fact, the volcanoes are so closeby, there is one at the top of the garden and a further 2 within the woods a short walk away. There is an even bigger volcano about 5km away (I can't remember the name) which can be reached from the house on feet. We were very happy that we could walk through the garden and meadow to the landscape park behind the house and watch the Karkonosze Mountains in the distance, leaving our cars behind. The children loved it! Paul and Anna were fantastic hojsts and gave us very detailed information about the area, including maps and a folder about what to see and do during our stay. The house itself is very cosy and clean in a rustic style (the reality is much better than the photos)and we particularly loved the piano in the music room downstairs where we would spend our evenings playing music, singing and just relaxing by a wonderful fireplace. We will come back but for much longer next time!

Thank you Jolanta. We think it's important too that guests can walk easily from the house and quickly be amongst the beautiful nature here. The large volcano incidentally is called Ostrzyca (Spitzberg in German). At 501m it dominates the local landscape and is about 90 minutes walk to the summit from the house. For everyone who is interested in volcanoes, there is now a brand new, first class, educational centre in Dobków (20km away) for people of all ages - especially children. Here you can discover more about the local volcanic landscape from beautiful displays, film shows, interactive presentations, an earthquake simulator, and passionate, knowledgable guides.

rustikal- einfach- unsauber
Wenn man das tägliche Heizen des Kohleofens als Zentralheizung nennt, die Schlafzimmer auf 2 Räume reduziert, weil es Durchgangszimmer sind und den permanenten Steinkohlegeruch ignoriert ist man hier richtig. Ansonsten Finger weg! Unsere persönliche Meinung: unsauber, unattraktive Umgebung, und sehr spartanisch. Wer 5 Sterne für die Unterkunft erwartet wird bitter enttäuscht. Das dritte Bad haben wir vergeblich gesucht und die Sauna hätte erst von dicken Spinnweben gesäubert werden. Schade, die Bilder und Beschreibung des Vermieters im Internet sind Auslegungssache...

It’s a little sad that people can be somewhat disingenuous in their “reviews” when the problems this group encountered lay elsewhere and beyond our control. One couple had to go home early due to a sick child followed by another couple with child the following day again due to sickness, leaving our intrepid “reviewer”.
We couldn’t understand that, for a group that never showed any interest in using the sauna, either in our multiple correspondences or our 2 hour introduction to the house, a complaint was made about it. At the moment, the sauna is out of action due to the stove here overheating dangerously. As such, it was fairly obviously not in use due to the wide array of safety features left in there as work in progress (it has temporarily been removed from the listing). Similarly, we don’t think the lamp they left behind the piano to inspect a single cobweb or the small amount of unused washing powder in the tray of the washing machine (which they had been inspecting) constitutes “unclean” or “dirty” Rather, it seems a little desperate to find fault.
Let’s address some of the other concerns mentioned. It is true that the Children’s Room (the third bedroom) is only accessed via the main bedroom. No guest over the last 5 years has ever mentioned this as a problem but 1 complaint in 300 is one too many for us so we’ve now added a floor plan to the website.
We do have a third bathroom but it’s currently private (we are hoping that guests will have access to this by the summer) as such this has been removed even though it looks like an error in the way that the Ferienhausmeite web-page editing is set up, as all the criteria applied but the total came to 3 instead of 2 - and not an attempt by us at deception.
The smell of coal in the house? This is too absurd to even comment on. In the winter time, guests have the option to make the fire in the stove themselves or to have somebody call once a day to do it for them. Again, nobody has ever complained or even mentioned this as an issue.
“Unattractive surroundings”? Within a stone’s throw of the house is the former family home of Wernher Von Braun on one side and Von Zedlitz’s Palace on the other. It’s quite improbable that these very wealthy people would have chosen such an unattractive location as a place to live. Within about 100m of the house incidentally, lies an extinct volcano – practically adjacent to the 1 hectare meadow of ours. From here, superb views of the Karkonosze Mountains can be had on any clear day.
Spartan? I don’t know many houses which can boast a 19th century pulpit from Oxford University, a bidet, Victorian bath, a wet room, 3 sofas in one room alone (the Music Room) 7 sofas in total, 2 wood-burning stoves, dining seating for 12, 2 hifi systems, a coffee grinder, enough cups, plates, cutlery etc for at least 20 people, an antique glass cabinet with 70-80 pieces of glassware, an extensive collection of children’s toys, games, books and puzzles, a piano, a 4000 euro hand-made oak bed – as well as all the usual stuff that every home has.
As for the photographs of the house, it’s true, they are a matter of interpretation. You see, I’m not a very good photographer and that’s why practically all our guests tell us that the house is considerably better than the photos.
Our reviewer claims the house is low value for money. I’d like to see if anyone could get such quality for what amounted here to just over 10 euro each per day and if they had bothered to read the extensive number of booklets we send to every guest they would find that there are an extraordinary number of things to do and see in the area.
Finally, being fairly new to Ferienhausmeite, we don’t have many reviews. We get far more bookings from Airbnb, Tripadvisor, Homeaway etc. If you care to find us on any of these sites, you will see that no one has ever given us less than 5 stars. The conclusion being that the reviewer was a 1 star guest in a 5 star house.

Izuzetno šarmantna kuća za uživanje
Proveli smo jako lijepi zimski tjedan odmora u ovoj šarmantnoj kući s gredama. Kuća je ljubavno renovirana i udobno uređena. Drveni stropovi i škripeći podovi naglašavaju šarm kuće, a nije nam smetalo ni što je neka vrata zapinjala. Kuća je bila dovoljno velika za 6 odraslih osoba i petoro djece (1,1/2 - 4 godine). Posebno je popularno bilo okupljati se u kuhinji s dugim stolom, ne samo za obroke. Djeca su mogla lutati po velikom vrtu, penjati se po drveću i istraživati vulkansku kalderu iza zemljišta.
Anna i Paul su srdačni, spremni pomoći domaćini koji su nam dali mnogo savjeta za izlete i mogu nam puno reći o regiji i povijesti kuće.
Područje je vrlo slikovito, ima prekrasnih dvoraca za posjetiti i planina za penjanje, a planinski lanac Krkonoše nije daleko.
Apsolutna preporuka za odmor na selu s rustikalnom i neobičnom atmosferom.
